Online Manufacturing network provides customers with a wide production range, competitive prices, and short delivery times – despite the coronavirus crisis
FACTUREE underpins its position as leading German online manufacturer and thrives in international competition
Berlin, 20 October 2020 – FACTUREE (www.facturee.de), the Online Manufacturing network founded in 2017, is establishing itself as the leading German online manufacturer and has also been increasingly successful in international competition. The company has continued its path of significant growth in 2020, although the coronavirus crisis has had a big impact on large parts of its customer base. More than 1000 manufacturing partners are now part of the steadily growing network. This ensures a broad production range, short delivery times, and competitive prices.
Berlin-based cwmk GmbH operates as an online manufacturer under the FACTUREE brand name and facilitates state-of-the-art procurement of production parts for its customers. Benjamin Schwab, Director of Marke¬ting & Sales at cwmk GmbH, states, “The recent entry of large international competitors from the US and the Netherlands to the German market has sharpened competition considerably. However, we proved that we were well prepared for the competition. We benefited from our position as an ‘early mover’ and were the only German company to succeed in convincing prestigious customers such as Siemens and Parker Hannifin of our concept.”
FACTUREE maintains its growth trajectory in the year of the coronavirus
Since the founding of FACTUREE in 2017 as one of the first German manufacturing networks, the company has had a high expansion rate – even in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Benjamin Schwab states, “The coronavirus crisis has had an enormous impact on many German companies, with the mechanical engineering industry as one of the most affected sectors. Although many of our customers are from this sector, FACTUREE has continued its strong growth in 2020, the year of the coronavirus, after having doubled our revenue in each of the two preceding years. I attribute this in particular to the increased interest in alternative, crisis-proof ways of procuring production parts. The disruption of supply chains has suddenly driven media attention to the shock-resistant Online Manufacturing. We were able to attract new customers despite the crisis and continue to expand our revenue and our prominent market position.”
Consistent focus on customers
The success is also due FACTUREE’s consistent focus on the needs of its customers. “We have developed an in-depth understanding of the German market and its special features. Unlike many of our competitors, instead of using complicated tools, we make things easier for purchasers with simple inquiry and handling processes,” says Benjamin Schwab.
FACTUREE ensures this through a broad range of services from a single source. As a result, even complex inquiries with different production techniques and surface treatments can be handled and carried out by a single contract partner. Customers have additional advantages from eliminating the search for and qualification of suppliers and the reduced logistics efforts. ISO 9001 certified, data-driven quality management guarantees the reliability of processes.
Currently, the online manufacturer has more than 1000 production partners with countless machines at its disposal. Benjamin Schwab reports, “Our network also grew rapidly during the coronavirus crisis – with a very positive trend. For our customers, this means there will still be free capacities, short delivery times, and competitive prices also in the future.”
